Welcome To MrBFund

We are a small group of professionals and former music students working to honor our former band director, Joseph Baranoski, a 37-year music teacher who worked tirelessly to provide music education and guidance to students in Luzerne County. The MrBfund staff works tirelessly to support instrumental music programs in local schools, particularly those serving low-income communities.

The MrBfund partners with Northeastern PA public schools and communities to provide free, quality instrumental instruction at the fifth and sixth grade level, in order to prepare students for continuing music education in high school and beyond.

Our Mission

Our mission is to rebuild instrumental programs at local schools by providing support to their “feeder programs,” to bring back the opportunity for students in low-income schools or homes to obtain music lessons at no cost, and to bring youth instrumental music back to the Wyoming Valley.

Music Lessons

We provide free instrumental music lessons to 5th and 6th-grade students, allowing them to develop the necessary skills to become proficient in music performance.

Instrument Exploration

MrBfund exposes children to a variety of instruments, allowing them to discover their musical passions and find the perfect fit for their interests and talents.

Performance Opportunities

We believe in celebrating achievements! MrBfund provides students with opportunities to showcase their musical skills through concerts and other exciting performances.

Our Goals

MrBFund has a plan to make a significant impact on instrumental music education in the Wyoming Valley. We want to rejuvenite elementary music programs, provide hundreds of students with free music lessons, and inspire a new generation of musicians. Our efforts will not only enrich the lives of individual students but will also strengthen our communities by fostering a love for music.
